Location

The location we chose for our film had to be able to represent a modern household in a suburban and enclosed neighbourhood. In film, especially horror, the set location can give off many signals to the audience about what is going to take place there and it can also tell them a lot about the characters themselves. For example a run down, old, conventional building would be too obvious as a set for viewers to link with horror, by using a modern setting creates an unexpected feeling of danger which is then translated throughout the narrative. We also liked how the attic window in the house is centralised, thats just an aesthetic reason.
